NEW! Creating Dimension - 2-Day Top-Up Workshop Description

Creating Dimension Top-Up Workshop

A new education option!

I have begun offering 2-day "top-up" workshops, for those who have either taken my 4 or 5-day live workshop, or for those who have watched my 3-part video series from AAE Glass.

The purpose of the top-up session is to refresh and strengthen skills.  For video students in particular, it also provides interaction and coaching with the instructor.

This 2-day course will go deeper into the most important sections of the Creating Dimension workshop, including image selection and dividing an image into layers to maximize depth. Students will have the opportunity to receive individualized coaching and practice on the powder technique which eliminates bubbles between layers. FuseMaster color mixing guidelines will be reviewed (including the newly released colors), and you will paint a color chart using your enamels. A Q&A section will include troubleshooting, finishing your pieces, and any other questions you may have.

In addition, each student will be able to sign up for a private, 15-minute one-on-one consultation with Paul Messink.  The private sessions will be held before and after class, on both days of the session.  Students are encouraged to bring any completed work, work in progress, or printed images for possible future work to discuss during the class or in your private consultation.

The top-up session also includes additional demos to further explain how to achieve specific textures and effects.

This course does require some prior experience in these techniques. Eligibility for the course includes anyone who has either:

  • Completed a 4 or 5-day live workshop, or
  • Purchased and watched the complete set of 3 Creating Dimension online videos, and completed at least one glass panel at home. (The videos are available from AAE Glass.)

What do I need to bring?  Your own tools, brushes, and pre-mixed EZ Fire Enamels.  (There will not be time allocated for enamel mixing.)  Glass will be available for creating a color chart.

Note: The emphasis on the class will be skill development in specific areas. You will not be painting a complete project, as in the full workshop.
